Parklea Correctional Centre, located in the north-western suburbs of Sydney, houses maximum security inmates. Parklea is privately operated by MTC-Broadspectrum. It is one of two privately managed correctional centres in NSW.

Visitor Information


Bookings are required and must be made at least 24hrs prior to the visit. For family/friend visits please contact (02) 8676 7999. Please note this line operates, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4.00pm. 

Inmates are allowed two visits per week, which can be 1 during the week and 1 over the weekend, or 2 during the week.  The maximum time for each visit is 1 hour.

A maximum of four adult visitors and four children are allowed to visit at any one time. Any visitor under the age of 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult. Only the names submitted when the visit was booked will be allowed access to the centre on the visiting day. Dress standards apply in accordance with local procedure.

Visit times

Visit times are:

Main Centre: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00–11:30 & 13:00–15:00hrs (Closed Christmas Day)

Area 4: Saturday and Sunday, 09:00–11:30 & 13:00–15:30hrs

Please ensure you have a scheduled visit before arriving.

Tea and coffee facilities are available for visitors and inmates. Please note that mobile phones and other digital devices are strictly prohibited. Gold coin operated secure lockers are available at visitor reception.

The centre has two audio-visual link (AVL) suites that can be booked any time for consultations with legal services. Face to face legal visits can be arranged by contacting 02 9678 4888.
