The Long Bay Complex is situated on Anzac Parade about 3 km south of Maroubra. There is limited parking on the complex.
Various security including maximum security inmates in more than four areas. One ward is dedicated to medical cases and three others are for short and long term psychiatric cases. The LBH 1 is jointly administered by Corrective Services NSW and the NSW Department of Health.
Maximum to minimum security. LBH 2 houses both transient medical inmates who are being assessed or have been cleared from medical appointments. LBH 2 also holds remand inmates.

Legal practitioners may visit seven days between 9am-3pm. 24 hour notification must be given by faxing a letter of introduction to the centre - 02 9694 4377 or 9289 2433. The respective MOS is the approving officer.
The Metropolitan Special Programs Centre (MSPC) accommodates all classification of inmates including those in transit awaiting medical appointments with the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
It consists of three areas, each providing a range of therapeutic programs which are part of statewide strategies to address specific behavioral issues. It houses transit inmates. These are designed to addresses the needs of offenders and include the Violent Offender Therapeutic Program, the Kevin Waller Unit and the Acute Crisis Unit for inmates with self harm issues. The Ngara Nura program is offered to inmates with addiction problems. The Additional Support Unit is for inmates with intellectual disabilities.

Different wings within the centre are allocated different sessions ring to confirm which sessions are available for each wing.

The MSPC 2 & 3 alternate weekly with regard to Saturdays and Sundays (ie. one week the MSPC 2 will facilitate visits on a Saturday and the next week they will do them on a Sunday).
Visits for minimum security MSPC2 inmates are facilitated in MSPC3.
