Coronavirus: important information for visitors to correctional centres
If you have visited China, or had contact with a person with confirmed coronavirus, within the last two weeks you will not be allowed to visit a correctional centre.
Who does this apply to?
This applies to all visitors:
- family and friends
- legal professionals
- service providers
When can I visit?
You can resume visiting after 14 days if:
- you are well
- you have not had contact with a person infected with coronavirus within the last two weeks.
Why is this happening?
CSNSW has taken these steps to reduce the risk of coronavirus infecting correctional centres.
Inmates have also been advised to take extra care with their personal hygiene and seek help if they feel unwell.
