​​​​​​​Mid North Coast Correctional Centre (MNCCC)

​​Mid North Coast Correctional Centre is a maximum and minimum security centre for males and females situated at Aldavilla, 455 km north of Sydney and 14 km west of Kempsey. It will be expanded to create an additional 440 beds and 110 jobs for the region.

 The expansion will also involve;

  • an upgrade to the women's multipurpose unit; and 

  • supporting infrastructure incl. car parking, staff ​​facilities, programs, industries, inmate processing and a clinic for the new medium security compound

NSW Department of Justice engaged JBA Urban Development Consultants to carry out community and stakeholder consultation during the development of the Review of Environmental Factors (REF). Public​​ comment and feedback for the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) took place between 8 - 29 November, 2016. It is currently being reviewed.
