The CSNSW Library is open to the public. Members of the public may view and photocopy documents, within copyright guidelines, but cannot borrow items. To assist the Commissioner to assess applications under section 267, CSNSW has established an Ethics Committee. This Committee ascertains whether proposed research would be ethical, having regard to factors such as an inmate's right to privacy. The Ethics Committee is established in accordance with clauses 171 and 172 of the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Regulation 2001.
