External Program Facilitators

A new expression of interest will open on Thursday 21 September at 2pm for facilitators interested in delivering programs in South Western and Western NSW.

Offenders who pose the greatest risk of reoffending are being targeted in a $237 million plan managed by Corrective Services NSW to reduce reoffending in NSW.

The plan provides more rehabilitation programs and enhanced supervision to priority offenders. It has a particular emphasis on the critical period before and after prisoners are released from custody. Trained and supported program facilitators are vital to reduce the annual rate of adult reoffending by five per cent by 2019.

External Program Facilitators deliver a range of accredited and approved programs to offenders in custody and the community, on behalf of Corrective Services (CSNSW).

Corrective Services NSW are looking for people who are able to work independently, with a high level of integrity, and are willing to work with mandated offenders. Ideally, applicants will have an understanding of evidence based practice underlying offender services and programs, and related administrative processes such as detailed record keeping. CSNSW will provide training (if required) and ongoing assessment and support.

A new expression of interest will open on Thursday 21 September at 2pm for facilitators interested in delivering programs in South Western and Western NSW. To further support facilitators to deliver programs in these regions, CSNSW will be providing financial assistance of up to $1,920 for travel and accommodation costs. Target areas include the Murray region, the Murray Darling Basin, the Central West, Central Tablelands, Riverina, Wentworth and Broken Hill.

All applications will be assessed by CSNSW Statewide Programs staff. If you are approved to become external facilitator with CSNSW, you will be paid for each program you deliver. You will also be reimbursed for time spent in preparing sessions and session debriefing.

Applications are submitted via a secure website. You will be required to create an account before you are able to submit an application.
