Behaviour Management

CSNSW has a number of services, specialised units and correctional centres designed specifically to manage inmates who present with severe, chronic and/or security-threatening behaviour. CSNSW recognises problematic institutional behaviour as both a responsivity issue preventing access to criminogenic treatment programs and a duty of care issue which may threaten the safety of staff and other inmates, as well as the security and good order of correctional centres.  CSNSW's range of behaviour management services aims to provide avenues for behaviour management which implement the least restrictive care required to maintain the safe and humane management of inmates; and provide all inmates with access to progress through the classification system, as it is safe to do so.
